• Parade is Friday, October 1, 2021.
• Students should bring uniforms/instruments/equipment to school with them Friday morning.

  • Mr. Shaffer will be passing helmets out at school Friday morning.
  • Majorettes/silks should wear the uniform as decided by their instructor.
  • Instrument/equipment
• Itinerary:
  • 10:00 a.m. Load bus at Mountaineer Middle School and head to Morgantown Mall for lunch. Students will need money to buy lunch.
  • 11:45 a.m. Leave mall for Kingwood.
  • 1:00 p.m. Lineup for parade.
  • 2:00 p.m. Parade
  • 5:30 p.m. (approximately) Return to Mountaineer Middle School.
• If you wish to take your child with you after the parade, you will need to meet the band at the buses, retrieve your child’s items from the bus, and SIGN OUT with Mr. Shaffer.

Mr. Shaffer did not pass helmets out when he passed the rest of the uniforms out yesterday at school. Students will not wear helmets at tonight’s parade. Please see previous post for details about today’s parade.

• The UHS Homecoming Parade will be on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. on High Street.
• Lineup is 5:00 p.m. on Willey Street by the Book Exchange.
• We will wear full uniforms with helmets. Don’t forget blue band t-shirts, black socks and black Dinkles shoes. Band commanders, majorettes, and silks should wear the uniform as decided by their instructor. Students should arrive fully dressed in uniform with their instruments/equipment.
• Do not bring instrument cases to the parade lineup location.
• Mr. Shaffer will be at Mountaineer Middle’s band room on September 21 from 4:00-4:20 for any students who need to pick up instruments/equipment.
• When the band has finished the parade, students will be dismissed to their families. Please make arrangements to meet your child when they’re done marching.

• Mrs. Connoley will be at the lineup location to assist students with uniforms.
• There’s a chance for rain. Mr. Shaffer will decide by 2:00 p.m. on September 21 if the band will not participate due to weather. Look for a remind message/email and check this website for updates.

• The date of the UHS Homecoming parade has been changed. It is now scheduled for 9/21/21. More details about the parade will be in a later post.
• Band moms will be available Wednesday, 9/15/21 after school until 5:30 p.m. for any students who have not been fitted for a uniform yet. If your child has not been fitted or assigned a uniform, please plan on them either staying after school or bringing them to the band room before 5:30.
