Summer Band 2022-23

  • We’re excited to begin Summer band in July!

  • Please be sure to fill out and return the band forms which can be found under the Forms tab. Mr. Shaffer also sent this paperwork home with the kids in their handbook. These forms should be returned at the start of summer band practice. The Forms tab is very useful and has all of the forms that are needed. Some details may be different than those in the handbook. Feel free to fill out whichever you feel most comfortable with. The forms that are needed are:
    • Contact Information
    • Payments and Fees
    • Uniform Contract
    • Completed Physical Form: Band is considered a sport and each student must have a current Medical Physical Form on file to participate. The same physical form can be used for multiple sports/activities at MMS. It must be dated AFTER May 1st of the year in which the student will enter Marching Band that fall. Students are prohibited by the WVSSAC from participating without a current physical on file at MMS.
  • Every summer, the band visits PNC Park to play the National Anthem before a Pirates game. More information about the Pirates game and ticket purchases will follow later. No need to do anything about the Pirates game or tickets at this point.
